TROY, MICHIGAN — Authorities in Troy, Michigan, are investigating a shooting that occurred at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital on Thursday, leaving one person injured and receiving treatment. According to a statement released by the Troy Police Department on social media, the suspect remains at large, and the public has been advised to stay away from the area for safety.
Police described the incident as isolated but emphasized that the suspect had not yet been apprehended. “This appears to be an isolated incident; however, the suspect is not in custody. Please avoid the area,” the department shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Corewell Health confirmed the shooting and stated that the injured individual is currently receiving treatment in the hospital’s emergency department. “One victim is in the emergency department undergoing medical care. Patients with scheduled services should not come to the hospital at this time,” the hospital said in an official statement.
